WATCH: Filmmaker, Sketch makes his music debut with ‘Afivi’

John Dalmeida popularly known as Sketch is a Filmmaker/Musician who has been in the entertainment industry for about two decades now. He released his first album in the year 2000 in Takoradi in the western region.

He then switched into movie production as an editor from the year 2008 and worked with some of the big movie producers like Nyankonton Films, Kofi Yeboah, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah and many others. As a movie director, he has worked on two major films namely Life N Trials which was premiered at the Sylverbird Cinemas at West Hills Mall in 2017 and Mother’s Tears which was also premiered at the Atinka Media Village inside the Sika Hall in the year 2018.

Since music has been his passion from day one, he did a lot of movie soundtracks for most of the movies he worked on. Now he has decided to join the competition musically and has released his first major single titled ‘AFIVI’ which means Afia a Friday born female. The song is sung mostly in the ewe dialect with a bit of English and Fante.

The song is also released on Apple Music, iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Deezer and others.

Sketch sees himself as a big threat to Stonebwoy in terms of composition with regards to the ewe language. That can only be judged by the general public.
