florent maloudaOut-of-favour Chelsea star Florent Malouda is expected in Accra on March 25. The French player, who is struggling for first team action at the London club, will arrive in the country, at the invitation of local television network Viasat 1. Malouda will be part of a team that would also include UK Soul star J. Appiah and his management team, courtesy a fall-back measure for the station’s inability to secure a United Kingdom visa for Joseph Nkrumah Buabeng, winner of the maiden edition of its talent reality show Born Starz. “If Nero-X was denied visa to the UK , we are bringing UK to Ghana ,” Charlotte Gustavsson, CEO, Viasat 1 says. The UK High Commission in Ghana denied Buabeng, visa to tour the country. Buabeng, emerged winner in January, and was to go on a 7-day-sponsored-trip to the United Kingdom. The UK High Commission is said to have refused the young star Visa because “it is the intentions of the applicant that are paramount in considering any application” and “that they are not sure Nero-X is seeking a genuine visit or intends to leave the UK at the end of his visit”. CEO of Viasat1, Charlotte Gustavsson, however maintained“There was no way Nero-X was going to overstay his welcome in the UK, he has a busy schedule in Ghana to get back to. Born Starz is grooming his career here, together with Hiplife artiste Okyeame Kwame”. Nero-X was billed to perform at the Ghana Independence Party at the o2 Arena in London, on March 6.]]>
