In response to the rapid growth, development, and acceptance of cryptocurrencies all over Africa, FTX is launching a new phase in its operation on the continent with a soon-to-be-released unique product.
A few days back, the global crypto exchange announced via its official FTX Africa Twitter handle that it will soon start offering deposits and payouts in African currencies on FTX. The $40 billion company also launched a waitlist for users to follow this new offering.
To drive this initiative, FTX is working with some of the biggest names in the African entertainment space, including Big Brother Naija stars – Ceec and Saskay, Ghanaian TV host – Serwaa Amihire, Influencer – Aunty Ada, and Nollywood superstars – Osas Ighodaro and Beverly Naya.
In a move to strengthen its growing position as the go-to crypto exchange for both retail and institutional traders in Africa, FTX announced last month that it partnered with AZA Finance, an African fintech company, to connect African markets to the Web3 economy and access to cryptocurrency.
