Gospel Sensation Navah wins 2021 Western Music Awards



Gospel Artiste, Minister Navah, real name Nwolley A. Varlet Hubert has been crowned the Artiste of the year at the just ended 2021 Western Music Awards which was held on Saturday, August 7 at the Best Western Plus Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi.

In addition to winning the coveted award, Minister Navah also won the Urban Gospel Artiste of the year category.

The ‘Who I am’ crooner faced competition from Fameye, S.K. Frimpong, Ayesem, Keche and DopeNation to win the Artiste of the year.

Expressing his gratitude, Minister Navah said “I am breathtakingly shocked and honoured by the immense support that followed me in the lead up to the Western Music Awards.”

“My gratitude goes to God for His ever present grace and hep, to all sponsors, mentors, churches, media houses and personalities, friends and family that helped make this a reality. I am honoured to have you all supporting Navah and lifting high the banner of Christ across the globe. Thank you” Minister Navah expressed.

The event witnessed sterling performances from Kofi Bentil, Navah, DopeNation, Fameye, FnF, Aya Ramzy B, as well as performance in honour of Castro by Nero X and Hyundu.

Hosted by Kwame B of Kasapa FM and Mzgee of TV3, notable personalities at the fifth edition of the Western Music Awards include the Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, Metropolitan Chief Executive of Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, Abdul Mumin, GNPC Foundation Boss, Dr. Dominic Eduah, Sammy Baah aka Sammy Flex, Francis Doku, Lawyer Fiifi Buckman, Yaa Amoako-Adu, Apremdo Chief Nana Egya Kwamina XI, Bessa Simons, Paulina Oduro, Nhyiraba Kojo, amongst others.

Gambo’s ‘Boys Aye Wild’ tops Apple Music’s City Chart for Accra & iTunes



The Blackmob rapper currently boasts of the hottest song in Accra, Ghana and that’s a fact – according to Apple Music’s City Chart for Accra at least. Listen/stream ‘Boys Aye Wild’ here:


It turns out the denizens of Accra could simply not get enough of Gambo’s ‘Boys Aye Wild’ today and rightfully so. The fun song beat the odds and for the first time since its release ranked at #1 on the city’s Top 25 chart list for the day and iTunes. Also earning a spot on one of the streaming platform’s big listings for the region, Top Albums, was the artist’s “New Era” EP which stood at #8 to score Gambo yet another exciting feat.

Gambo outdid the competition and had listeners converging on his song by the bucketload. In regards to his big win today, the ‘Boys Aye Wild’ hitmaker shared: ‘’It was a great feeling to see my song sitting at #1. Seriously. Big ups to Accra for making my day and showing my song that much love. I’m at peace now knowing my brothers are taking the right steps to treat their women right. Ha-ha. Keep the plays coming though and don’t stop’’.
