delaySchalke 04 and Black Stars player Hans Adu-Sarpei has denied rumours that he is dating TV Presenter and Oman FM presenter Delores Frimpong-Manso, known in showbiz circles as Delay. This confirms earlier denials of the rumours by Delay herself in some publications after it was published that she was given a dog pet from the football star. The quiet and unassuming football star made the revelation on The One Show on Viasat 1 this week when he was asked if he was indeed dating the Afia Schwarzenegger producer.

“I have not met this lady called Delay before neither was I responsible for the puppy I have been told she said I bought for her. They are all lies. Ghanaians talk a lot and no one should believe such rumors,” he said.

The interview also dwelled on the footballer’s career, which so far has been impressive. Sarpei has consistently played for the Black Stars and also for Bundesliga side Schalke where he managed a UEFA semi final spot this year only to be defeated by eventual final losers, Manchester United.

In a series of rebuttals over the past six months, Delay would not mention names but said the dog in question was a gift from a football star. It was speculated that Sarpei bought the dog, nick-named Biscuits, for an outrageous USD 2000 price.

“I love dogs and I have a collection of them but as at now, Biscuits is my favorite. She takes only chicken, biscuits and milk and has become a part of my family,” Delay told local media in January.
