According to the ‘Wafom Kwan’ hitmaker, the main goal of every gospel singer is to sell Christ, and so once some practices such as the wearing of heavy make-up and excessive branding becomes the focus, the presence of the Holy Spirit may be deterred. Patience divulged that such things can create a barrier between the performer and the Holy Spirit  diverting the focus from spiritual connection to outward appearances.

The renowned crooner, who is known for her soul-stirring gospel tunes, further emphasized the importance of maintaining a genuine and humble approach during stage performances. She believes that the Holy Spirit seeks authenticity and sincerity in worship, and when performers prioritize aesthetics over the essence of the message, the sacred connection may be compromised.

”Every Gospel musician has something he or she is selling and that is Christ. So anything you do as a gospel musician should not surpass you selling Christ. You can dress alright but don’t let it overshadow your mission of selling Christ through your songs.

”Let me tell you one secret, excessive branding and heavy makeup as a gospel musician can lead to the Holy Spirit stepping aside. Too much of everything is bad. Sometimes because of branding some people refuse to perform at certain churches or stages and that isn’t good. You may not know what holds for you there. I’m not saying branding isn’t good but too much of it also has its consequences”  she said.
