Rufftown Records signee Wendy Shay has written an open letter to H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akufo- Addo concerning Gaming Commissions plan to ban celebrities from promoting betting companies.

Over the week there were rumors that the Gaming Commission in Ghana is planning to ban celebrities in Ghana from promoting betting companies in the country.

The “Emergency” singer who is upset about the news in a Twitter post, queried the President on how he expects celebrities to survive especially in this pandemic.

“Dear @NAkufoAddo 1st, FDA stopped celebs from promoting alcoholic bev’s making us lose jobs to Nigerian celebrities
Gaming commission just stopped us from promoting betting serv.
So how do we survive as creative persons in this pandemic?#Savethecreativearts#bringbackourjobs, she wrote in a Tweet.

This is not the first time Wendy Shay is upset about a ban. Last year, she was very vocal about the ban on celebrities by the FDA to stop promoting alcoholic beverages in Ghana.
