I felt totally sick- Burna Boy on loosing out at the Grammys to Angelique Kidjo
Afro Beats Giant, Burna Boy has finally broken his silence on loosing out at the 2020 Grammys to Angelique Kidjo.
Both Burna Boy and Angelique Kidjo were nominated in the Best World Music Album category at the 2020 Grammys. However, the latter was announced the winner.
Burna Boy was answering a question from a fan on Twitter when he expressed his disappointment at loosing out.
Ye’ hitmaker, “how did you feel losing the Grammy?” a fan asked.
“Sick. Totally sick,” he stated.
He however added that his musical mother, Angelique Kidjo has taught him a thing or two about the award scheme and so he’s working twice as much for the coming year.
“My musical Mother @angeliquekidjo told me everything I needed to understand about the Grammys. So now I’m “Twice as Tall” (that’s the name of my next Album by the way dropping in July by the grace of the most High),” he added.
