Tracy Owusu-Addo, the wife of Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, has detailed how their 12-year relationship stood the test of time and led to marriage.

In an interview with TV3’s ‘THE DAY SHOW SHOW,’ the social entrepreneur revealed that her relationship with Sarkodie was not perfect.

Tracy explained how they met, saying Sarkodie couldn’t muster the courage to confess his feelings to her directly and had to go through her cousin to deliver the message.

“My cousin only informed me when I was about to leave for Germany,” she told Berla Mundi.

Although she did not accept his proposal at the time, she did agree to date him three years later when she returned from Germany.

Tracy stated that she needed to be convinced of what lay ahead for her before dating, courting, and marrying Sarkodie.

“At a point, I just wanted to send him to Germany, so he could work, make money, and do something for himself. I did not believe in the music thing he was doing,”Tracy added.

Tracy described Sarkodie as a visionary gentleman with good leadership skills when asked what she liked about him and why she decided to marry him.

She went on to say that she was his sole focus, that he had his “head in the right place,” and that he had remained loyal to her throughout.

“My husband, I don’t know how to describe him. He is blessed with a vision and creates a vision—tells you what he sees. As a woman, if you find someone like that, who has his head in the right place, you will know he was the right person.”

Sarkodie and Tracy got married in 2018 after several years of being together. Their marriage has produced two kids, Adalyn Owusu Addo and Michael Owusu Addo Jnr.
