Ghanaian Gospel singer, Eric oduro, better known by the stage name Erico has recently made a surprising revelation about his absence from the music scene, attributing it to his battle with kidney disease.

Behind the curtains of fame, Erico grappled with the daunting challenges of the debilitating illness, a journey marked by resilience and faith.
The crooner, made the revelation in an candid interview with Emelia Brobbey on Adom TV‘s Okukuseku, when asked about absence in the music scenes.
Erico shared the challenges he has faced while grappling with this serious health condition, shedding light on the personal struggles that have kept him away from the spotlight.
According to him, he had to put his career on a stand still in order to seek medication to save his life as his kidney failure was taking a toll on his overall health. Fortunately for him, he was diagnosed while his issue was at an early stage, buying him more time to seek alternative solutions.

The ‘Twen Nyame” hitmaker further made known that when the orthodox medications and treatment became quite costly, he had to resort to herbal medication which has since proved very helpful.

Just six months after active care, he said he saw improvement in his situation and he did not get to the dialysis stage.

While his health improved, ironically, his finances and physical wellbeing took a tumble. Nonetheless, he is grateful to God for surviving the entire ordeal.
