If a woman cannot cook proper Ghanaian Jollof, I can’t marry you- Michael Blackson
America-based Ghanaian comedian and actor, Michael Blackson, has revealed that for a woman to win a spot as his wife, she has to be able to cook excellent “Jollof.”
According to Blackson, if a woman cannot make proper Ghanaian “Jollof” rice, he cannot settle down with her.
The actor made this statement while speaking to Joy News’ at the one-year anniversary celebration of his school in Agona Nsaba in the Central Region.
“Jollof test. You have to cook jollof and I have to taste it and it has to be great. I hang out with a lot of Nigerians, Sierra Leoneans and even Chinese with fried rice. If my wife cannot represent my country with the perfect Ghana jollof, I can’t marry you,” he said.

Blackson jokingly added that he almost married his housekeeper because she made the most delicious Jollof rice he’s had in a long time.
“I’m so close to marrying my housekeeper. She cooked some jollof the other day. It is part of the best jollof I have had in a very long time,” he stated.
Adding; “If your woman can’t cook jollof the right way, leave her now, pack your bags, move, take the children and get out of there.”
