I’ll be back in 4years – Wizkid announces Break From Music

Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer/ song-writer, Ayodeji Ibrahim  Balogun, otherwise known as Wizkid, has announced a break from music, and is now considering taking up sports for the time being.

The ‘Essence’  hitmaker made this known in a string of posts via his official Instagram page while reacting to a comment made by one of his fans who pressured him to release new songs.

The popular crooner initially responded to the post with a laughing emoji, later revealing that he is currently on holiday.

“Una papa dey holiday, make I enjoy,” he wrote.

The prominent figure in the modern-day Afrobeats music scene, to a greater extent suggested that he might take a 4 to 5-year break and explore other hobbies in sports.

Wizkid listed football, golf, ‘FIFA hoe’, and ‘wrestling bitches’ as some of the hobbies he intends to indulge in while observing the break.
