Ghanaian actress Nikki Samonas has stressed that she will not be having any kids out of wedlock.

According to her, although she’s growing and her biological clock maybe ticking, the only way she’s going to bring kids into her life is when she’s married.

“Don’t get me wrong. I would love to have a family as in a husband and children but it has to be my way. So the clock can tick till infinity, my life is my choice,” she told Graphic Showbiz.

When asked if there’s no pressure from family and friends to get married and have kids, she said;

“Pressure comes from everywhere in life, even at work. It’s just how you handle it.”

Nikki has options for when the time is right and she cannot have babies the natural way.

According to her, if and only if she’s unable to have kids the natural way, she will be open to other forms of becoming a parent.

“The question is ‘if’. There is surrogacy, there is IVF, and there is adoption among others. These are all options I can look at,” she stated.

Asked about her opinion on celebrities having kids out of wedlock, she responded;

“You know most of us are used to being independent. I think that is what has influenced their decisions to be on their own and live their lives.

“I am sure they are probably also open to having a family but knowing that it has to wait, some of them just want to have their kids and move on with their lives. I think most celebs want to live their lives with or without support from the opposite sex.”
