International pitching will be held at BRIDGE of ARTS for the first time

<![CDATA[Business Forum organizers have started accepting participation applications for events of Film and Media Content Business Forum. Those include strategic sessions, press conferences and master classes. This year an international pitching will take place within the framework of Bridge of Arts for the first time. Foreign TV producers and film companies are ready to launch the best projects in production. Film and Media Content Business Forum will be held on August 23-24 as an integral part of the IV International Motivational Film and Sport Festival BRIDGE of ARTS. The basic theme of 2018 will be co-production as a world market promotion and distribution tool. Eminent Russian and foreign film industry experts, producer companies’ and studios’ leaders, representatives of the Federal Fund for Social and Economic support of the National Cinema and delegates of German Films company, German national information and advisory center, will join the discussion. «In 2017 Rostov film forum confirmed its international status having signed cooperation agreement with ECFA, European association uniting over 100 film companies and film forums from 36 countries ranging from children and youth film festivals to prestigious ones such as Cannes and Berlin Film Festivals. This year we will expand international cooperation boundaries and will organize a meeting of Russian and German film industry insiders at BRIDGE of ARTS Business Forum. Participants will present film projects that are under development or in pre-production phase for potential co-production», – Russian Cinema Market program director, BRIDGE of ARTS Business Forum curator, Ekaterina Bordachyova stated. Pitching procedure has become traditional for Bridge of Arts: annually about 100 submissions from all parts of Russia are received. In 2018 not less than 150 submissions of those willing to present their ideas, script and producer projects to a competent jury are expected. All submissions will be ranged into two sections: scriptwriters’ and producers’ projects. Several jury teams comprised of eminent Russian and foreign film industry experts will work with pitching participants. Full-length and short films (running time up to 15 minutes) as well as series (including cross-media and web-series) are accepted for consideration. Feature, animation and documentary films projects might be submitted. A special educational program is prepared for pitching participants. In particular, they will be able to take part in workshops, devoted to the development of presentation skills. BRIDGE of ARTS 2018 pitch submissions are accepted up to August 1, 2018.
