Kenya’s music supergroup, Sauti Sol must be used to performing for world leaders by now.  After getting the world talking when they had President Barack Obama dancing during his historic visit to Kenya, the multiple award-winning group recently got many dignitaries on their feet at the State Banquet Hall in Accra, where President John Dramani Mahama held a private dinner to celebrate Ghana’s 59th Independence Day.

Also present at the dinner were  Kenya’s Uhuru Kenyatta and Guniea Bissau’s Jose Mario. I caught up for a quick interview with Sauti Sol before they headed out of Accra. The group was happy to perform in Ghana for the first time and hinted they may return for a more public show before the end of the year.

They also hinted that they recorded a track with Ghanaian dancehall artist, Stonebwoy while they were in Ghana; and expressed their desire to work with Mzvee, Shatta Wale and many others.  Check out the YouTube interview from their last lunch in Ghana.
