Actress Jackie Appiah on Sunday celebrated her birthday by sharing the joys with some less privileged and afflicted Ghanaians. The actress visited the Children’s Ward of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to put smiles on the faces of the infirmed children at the ward. She donated a number of items including drinks and confectionaries much to the delight of the children.

For most of the children it was early Christmas as they enjoyed the treat with smiles written all over their faces. Jackie also donated 500 ghc and medications to the Children’s Ward before heading over to the Dzorwulu Special School. She made a similar donation to the children, including 200ghc to the school. The Dzorwulu Special School is a facility for training special children with learning and speech impairment, and other mental and physical deformities. The actress interacted with the children, handing out goodies to them, while she talked to the teachers and staff of the establishment to find out more about the conditions of the children in the school.

Jackie ended her philanthropic outing by having a special meeting with a young boy who has been looking forward to meet the star for a while now. The boy has been sending in text messages to TV and radio stations about his desire to meet the actress and was clearly happy to see his dream come into reality when Jackie paid him a surprise visit.
