<![CDATA[It was the show that propelled her into stardom but Jennifer Hudson has said thatAmerican Idol should hang up its talent show boots. Jennifer, 31, was on the show’s third season in 2004 and despite being voted off went on to become extremely successful with a Grammy-winning debut album and an Oscar, Bafta and Golden Globe for her role in the 2006 film Dreamgirls. But despite owing her success to the show, Jennifer said American Idol, which has seen ratings slowly decline, should call it a day – and “go out on top”. Speaking to Celebuzz, she said: “Everything has its time. I think it should just allow itself to go out on top… and gracefully.” But she said she still holds the show in high regard, and added: “American Idol changed the face of television. “So, not everyone can say that. And, it’s always been a phenomenon. I’m proud to have come from American Idol, so I just say, go out on top.” Jennifer, who is engaged to professional wrestler David Otunga with whom she has a two-year-old son, has also revealed that she is very excited about the Destiny’s Child reunion. Speaking to MTV News, she said: “Oh my God, that is a dream come true! I am the biggest Destiny’s Child – Beyoncé, Kelly, Michelle, all of them – fan in the world. I’m excited about it! “I grew up with these ladies listening to their music. I’ve always been a fan, and now I’m blessed to know each of them. “I’m happy for all of them and cannot wait to hear this album and I love the song ‘Nuclear’. I get it. I love it.”
