Joeboy stopped from performing in St Lucia after his DJ used the “F” word on stage

Celebrated Nigerian crooner, Joseph Akinwale,  professionally known as Joeboy, was over the weekend stopped from performing in St. Lucia over the use of offensive language.

The ‘Alcohol hitmaker who was billed to perform and entertain his fans at an event in the Caribbean island nation, had his performance cancelled midway into the show after his Disc Jockey used the “F” word while warming up the crowd.

Taking to his Instagram page  on Sunday May 13, 2023, the artiste who doubles as a song writer,  explained that he was prevented from performing because his disc jockey used vulgar language.

According to him, he and his team were not informed about the existence of such a law in the country.

“I couldn’t perform today due to issues from the organisers. I tried my best to give you the best performance today, but my set was cut off, and my DJ taken off stage. “My DJ was taken off stage because he said, ‘Make some f*cking noise’. We were not given any memo that we couldn’t use any curse word on stage,” he wrote.

The singer noted that the organisers threatened to get him and his team arrested if they insisted on performing.
