Kaywa says he spends more than Ghc100,000 to produce and release a song
Award-winning music producer, David Kojo Kyei, popularly known as Kaywa has disclosed that he invests more than Ghc 100,000 in producing and releasing a single hit song.
According to Kaywa, this budget of Ghc 100,000 includes production, videos, promotions e.t.c.
Speaking in an interview on the “3FM Drive” with Giovanni and AJ Sarpong, Kaywa explained that video productions take a bulk of the budget.
“More than 100,000 for one hit single. (Between videos and promotions, which one takes most of the money?) Videos. Sometimes we can shoot videos worth 70,000. Sometimes, some people don’t understand the conversation. You put in a lot of money,” he disclosed.

The ‘Highly Spiritual. Music’ boss added that although sometimes there’s no money to invest in a talent, he does all he can to make it work.
“Sometimes, there is no money but looking at the talent, you just can’t allow it to go to waste so you do everything to make it work.
“It really is if you do it well. Check your streaming platforms and ask any artiste that does it pretty well, you’ll know that there is some great money coming in if you are doing it well,” he added.
