Emergency Wedding final 1
The third coming of Emergency Wedding promises to be one of the best Ghanaian plays of the century. The family play highlights how women’s ticking biological clock makes some rush into marriages they are not prepared for. Among the many exciting moments of the much-talked-about play, Emergency Wedding is introducing to live entertainment events an opportunity for the deaf to participate.
One innovative concept of Kobina Ansah’s Emergency Wedding is that it is an all-inclusive play that will give the deaf an opportunity to enjoy the theater experience through a deaf interpreter. This is in collaboration with Deaf Can Talk Hub, a Kumasi-based media designated to the deaf and people hard of hearing.

Talking to Scribe News, the founder of Deaf Can Talk, Isaac Agyei Mensah, hinted, “This is a big challenge to us all at Deaf Can Talk. We look forward to bringing the greatest experience of this live show to our brothers and sisters who have been excluded from such events for a long time.”

With the aim of leaving no one behind, the essence of this partnership is to ensure that those with hearing impairment are not left out of the fun and excitement of Emergency Wedding. Kobina Ansah, the writer/director of the riveting play, explained, “Giving the physically challenged an opportunity to enjoy what Scribe Productions does gives me such great fulfillment.”

Kobina Ansah is known for plays such as The Boy Called A Girl and I Want To Sue God among others. Emergency Wedding is a head-turning social drama which will be staged at National Theater on Saturday, 18th December, 2021 at 3pm and 7pm. More details are on www.scribeproductions.com.
