Ghanaian artiste, Samuel Adu Frimpong, known professionally as Medikal, has asserted that love alone is not a sufficient reason to enter into marriage.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Bola Ray on Star FM’s Starr Chat on Thursday, May, 23, 2024, the ‘Stubborn Academy’ hitmaker emphasized the importance of counseling and family discussions before making the decision to marry.

He stressed on the necessity of thorough preparation and understanding before tying the knot.

“If you love somebody, you don’t be in a hurry to get married to the person,” he said, highlighting that counseling and family involvement are crucial steps in the process. You people need counseling, you need families to talk to. Don’t just jump into marriage because you love someone. You might end up making a big mistake.”

The award-winning crooner who recently had a successful concert at London’s O2 Indigo further advised young people to avoid rushing into marriage based solely on love. He elaborated that marriage is a different experience and requires more than just romantic feelings.

He stated, “I want to advise people that I don’t think love is enough before you get married. Love is not enough for two people who want to marry.”
The rapper’s advice comes in the wake of his high-profile split from Fella Makafui, which has sparked widespread discussion on various social media platforms.
