Mary-Ann Acolatse fired from TV3?

<![CDATA[According to enewsgh.com, TV3′s Director of News and Current Affairs, Mary-Ann Acolatse, has been shown the exit. Madam Acolatse was relieved of her post on Friday, sources say. Reasons for the decision are not readily known except station sources tell us it is somewhat performance-related. It is rumoured d that the station’s new owners, Media General Ghana Limited, were not pleased with the way some happenings in the newsroom was handled in the last few months gone by, one of such leading to the exit of Henry Herbert Malm. In what became an exodus of sorts, the station lost some key staff this year, the two most recent being  Malm and parliamentary and presidential correspondent Kojo Hayford. Before returning to TV3 months ago, she had taken up positions as Head of News and Managing News Editor at Metro TV and Multi TV respectively. Acolatse was brought back to the station by the new owners to as it were steer affairs in the newsroom. It was not meant to be, it has turned out. With a nationwide penetration of a little over 70 per cent, TV3 remains one of the most-watched local channels in Ghana.]]>
