Meet Ghanaian TikTok superstars, Nancy G and Am.Tuff

If you are a fan of TicTok videos, then you would have come across  ‘Nancy G’ and ‘Am.Tuff’, two of the most followed TikTok content creators in Ghana.

TikTok is one of the fastest growing social media platforms in the world which presents an alternative version of online sharing. It allows users to create short videos with music, filters, and some other features.

Nancy G and Am.Tuff were amongst the first Ghanaian TikTok creators to hit 100k followers, as well as to be verified by the TikTok. They were invited to join TikTok’s exclusive creator program last year.

Nancy G and Am.Tuff  are always passionate about sharing how they started, their journeys on the app and the great opportunities it comes with.  They both believe that the video sharing app can help  the youth of Ghana in discovering their inner love and passion for content creation. “TikTok gives us a free platform to share our creativity, which also serves as an aid to open doors to the entertainment world and companies beyond the shores of Ghana,” Nancy G adds.

Who is Nancy G?

My name is Nancy Yamoah Gyimaa. I am popularly known as NANCY G on social media. I am 24 years of age and I am a class of 2018 graduate of Accra Technical University. I have four siblings and live with my parents. My hobbies are dancing, acting, writing, content creating and editing. Due to my love for filming and editing I became a content creator on YouTube and now a popular creator on TikTok but I focus primarily on TikTok now so you can say I’m a TikToker.

I started making TikTok videos at the end of January 2019 for fun due to my love for dancing and acting and it was the perfect app at that time for me to perfect my skills on but as time went on it was just not a hobby for me, it became a passion. I started TikTok with 90 fans but due to my growth of love for the app I became serious with content creation and started thinking out of the box and thanks to my determination I went from having 90 fans to 100,000 fans in just 5 months and another 100,000 in the remaining months I ended the year with over 200,000 fans to my surprise. Thanks to this achievement I got recognition from TikTok and got verified on their app. I also had the chance of being featured on the popular American website Famous Birthdays and also got invited to join TikTok’s exclusive creator summit.

I love TikTok and will continue to make contents for a long time to come, and I will continue to represent Ghana on the app and make the country proud.

I would love to recommend TikTok to all young people out there who have a passion for dance, acting and everything entertainment related as it is a great platform for people to show those skills and get discovered. Who knows you might be the next Charli D’Amelio.

Who is Am.Tuff?

My name is Marko Ampadu popularly known as AM.TUFF on all social media sites. I am 21 years old and currently a final year student in the University of Ghana. My hobbies are filming and editing contents. I never knew I was into creating and editing contents until I joined TikTok (Musical.ly) back in 2018. I must say it was super difficult to grow and be noticed back then. I used to make transition videos which weren’t doing not so great and not so bad either. So, I switched genres to a very trendy one at that moment which was SlowMos (Slow motion videos) and with hard work and consistency I grew from 1000 followers to about 100000 followers in less than a year.

Due to my achievements on the TikTok app I have gotten the recognition I deserve by becoming the first Ghanaian to hit 100000 on the platform and also the first Ghanaian male to get verified also. I’ve also gotten the chance to be featured on the American website Famousbirthdays.com and also gotten the chance to join TikTok’s exclusive creator summit. I’ve also gotten to meet awesome people I call my friends outside Africa and I’m so proud.

I love TikTok and will continue to create contents to entertain people. I started this app as a joke but now with all these achievements, it pushes me to be a better person actually. There are a lot of things going on in the world right now and I’m so glad I can use this platform to share positivity.
