Melcom Ghana Limited renews retail partner deal with the GFA

On Thursday, October 6, 2022, Melcom Ghana Limited extended its two-year deal as an official retail partner with the Ghana Football Association.

The ceremony was held at Melcom’s headquarters in Accra’s Industrial Area.

The renewal comes following the end of GFA’s one-year renewable cooperation agreement with the Melcom Group as the official Retail Partner in November, 2020.

The event was graced by Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, president of the GFA, Bernhard Lippert, the technical director, and Jamil Maraby, the director of marketing.

Speaking at the event, President of the GFA Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku expressed that the partnership was as a result of the need of both parties to satisfy the needs of their consumers.

“…because we believe in the vision of giving hope to millions of people, because we believe in providing the needs of our direct consumers and because we believe in providing a one-step shop for our consumers, we are here today to continue with this beautiful relationship,” he stated.

Mr Simeon-Okraku also detailed the support Melcom has given to Ghanaians over the years and why the GFA decided to partner with the.

“The Melcom Group have been very supportive of Ghanaians for so long. They have been feeding all of us for so long, they have been providing us with all our needs for so long and now they have decided to also zone in to support those of us who are football crazy. We love football we follow football and we play football because it serves the needs of the entire population just like the Melcom group has served the needs of the entire population and its the reason why the GFA and Melcom became partners a year ago,” he added.
