Music will take me back to the US – Showbezzy

Published

on

Months after being deported from the US following a six-year prison sentence for involvement in a stabbing incident, Showboy AKA Showbezzy is optimistic that his music career will pave the way for his return to the United States.

Despite the controversies surrounding his past actions, Showboy sees music as his ticket back to the United States. Taking inspiration from Burna Boy’s journey of being banned from the UK over gang related issues but later gaining re-entry through his success as a musician, Showboy expresses his determination to follow a similar path. In a post on X he wrote “They said Burna Boy got deported from the Uk and music took him back everywhere around the world …. I said yes , that boy burna is my motivation too ..I will do this music alone and it will take me back to the united states of America. So help me Allah … advert lifestyle music video drops soon” he shared.

Showboy was sentenced to six years in prison in March 2019 for stabbing the US-based Ghanaian musician during a tussle.

Junior survived the stabbing but was later killed in a robbery attack in 2021 and at the time of his death, many people accused Showboy’s ‘men’ of carrying out the crime.
