holstar teckStart the week with a cross continental selection of new music from some of the biggest buzzing talents in Africa.  First is a single off The Holstar and Teck-Zilla’s soon to be released project, ‘The Extraordinaires’. The project is the second collaboration effort from Zambia’s Slam Dunk Records and Nigeria’s Str8 Buttah Productions.  But before that sees the light of day, here is the track, ‘My Star’ with an interpolation of Norman Connors ‘My Starship’ for your listening pleasure.

Then comes in Canada-based Ghanaian rapper/singer Quabena Maphia and his latest, ‘Me Ko Yankee’ which chronicles the dreams of a young African desperate to travel abroad to see the fun and high life he hears from back home.
