Nollywood Actor Big Larry Passes On

The Nollywood film industry has been hit with sadness following the passing of popular actor Big Larry on Friday, September 13, 2024.

The news of his death was announced by renowned movie producer Stanley Nwoke, also known as Stanley Ontop, who shared the tragic update on his Instagram page. The cause of Big Larry’s death is yet to be confirmed, leaving fans and colleagues in shock.

“Nollywood actor Big Larry has just passed away. What caused his demise is yet to be known. May your soul rest in peace, Big Larry. Nollywood, Asaba mourns,” he wrote.

Fans and colleague thespians of the late actor have flooded the post’s comments section to pay tribute to him and also express shock.

His death comes just a few weeks after that of Sharon Okpamen, another Nollywood actress who died some days after childbirth. Big Larry joins a growing list of Nollywood stars who have passed away this year.

In 2024 alone, the industry has lost actors and actresses like Mr Ibu, Dayo  Adewunmi, Amaechi Muonagor, Aderounmu Adejumoke all of whom left lasting marks on the Nigerian film scene.
