Ghanaian businesswoman, Ayishetu Osekre Aryeetey, popularly known as Ayisha Modi, has in a new interview opened up about her relationship with her ex-husband, highlife singer, Ofori Amponsah.

According to her, she still loves the ‘Emmanuella’ hitmaker, and because they share a child, they will always be in each other’s lives. Ayisha added that Ofori Amponsah is now her best friend and they care about each other a lot.

”As for Ofori Amponsah I don’t think I can leave him. I really like him though I can’t have anything sexual to do with him. We are like friends and we will always be in each other’s lives because of our daughter,” she said.

Speaking about her ex-husband’s short time as a man of God in an exclusive interview, the “queen of development” of Sowutuom detailed how she advised her ex-husband against pursuing a career as a pastor when he told her about wanting to become a man of God. She explained that the crooner was in a state of confusion when he decided to become a man of God.

”For that, I warned him when he told me about it but he didn’t listen to me. He wasn’t called by God. The day he told me about it I realized there was something wrong with him. Something wasn’t right because he wasn’t himself.”

It will be recalled that Ofori Amponsah’s transition from a successful music career to the pulpit was met with mixed reactions from the public. While some celebrated his decision to follow what he formally thought was his divine calling, others expressed skepticism about his qualifications and motives.
