Only 5 percent Of Ghanaians Understand The Things Of Our Music Industry – Kuami Eugene
Multiple award-winning Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Kuami Eugene has asserted that only 5% of Ghanaians truly comprehend the complexity of the Ghanaian music industry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsjiFDBj2zA
According to him, Ghanaian artistes and Ghanaians as a whole need maximum amount of education on the things of music industry so as to be abreast with the latest moves in the industry.
His comment comes after he received several backlashes and social media trolls from netizens for claiming to have written and produced songs for a number of his fellow musicians. The ‘Open Gate’ singer divulged that Ghanaians are yet to understand the fact that there is nothing wrong with a musician working on a song for a colleague.

The 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) ‘Artiste Of The Year’ made this statement while speaking in a recent interview on MX24 TV.
”We need maximum education in this industry as individuals and as Ghanaians in the first place. Because alot of people….I think about 5% understands the things that go on. Trust me, just 5 %. I mean to have almost everyone on the internet go on the far left while some people all over the world actually understand some of these things…like…..
”So are they saying it is not good for someone to write a song for another person? We are not fighting for space, they don’t understand some of these things. It is supposed to be someone’s job to just write because it is not everyone who is cute enough for the cameras, not everyone sounds good enough for the microphone etc,” he said.
