A couple of months ago, I broke the news that hiplife founder, Reggie Rockstone was set to launch his own brand of condoms. Well, on Saturday he officially launched his personalized condoms in Accra. The event had in attendance some celebrities, family and friends, as well as loyal patrons of his Rockstone’s Office and Grand Papazz facilities. The merchandise is heavily being championed by Konfrenz Advertising, an Accra-based company who are feeding on his name to get the product out there. “As a pioneer of the Hiplife movement which has evolved over the years and night life in Accra through ownership of the top flight ‘Rockstone’s Office’ and ‘Grandpapaz’ nightclubs, Reggie Rockstone believes in whom much is given much is expected,” a release issued after the event read. “It therefore holds on him to promote a responsible lifestyle among his club patrons, fans, followers and the general populace in extension. “This further is his contribution to the zero infection or prevalence campaign against HIV/AIDS target set for the next few years. “He believes there is no other alternatives, but to drive this campaign with the same passion that birthed the hiplife culture.” A ten per cent deduction from all sales will go to support activities of an NGO, SAFELINE, “to fund activities of educating young women in protecting themselves from acquiring HIV/AIDS as well as prevent teenage pregnancy. ]]>
