Politicians and Pastors join Happy FM Keep Fit Festival, October 13

<![CDATA[The Happy FM annual Keep Fit festival, which brought hundreds of Keep fit clubs and 1000’s of sports enthusiasts together last year to partake in several sports activities, is on again this year on Saturday 13th October at the El Wak stadium. Billed to be an exciting event with lots of surprises and activities, this year’s event will see representatives of all political parties within the country forming a team to represent the politicians, and pastors together with some gospel artistes coming together to form a team to compete with the politicians. This year’s keep fit festival by Happy FM is dedicated to the polls in December and has been themed ‘Ghana for Peace 2012’ with the main aim of promoting peace and stability in the country. According to Mr. Charles Osei Asibey, station Manager for Happy FM,’ though the keep fit festival is organized by the number one sports radio station annually to promote  health and sporting activities in the country, this year’s has been specially dedicated to the elections in December in other to promote peace and stability in the country. ‘Happy FM is ever ready to play a part in ensuring peace and stability within the country as the polls in December draws nearer. The keep fit festival therefore will not be the same as it has always been, rather, a lot more exciting and surprising activities has been incorporated including an opening game which will feature a football match between politicians and pastors within the country’ said Mr. Osei Asibey. Other fun games and activities set for the day include soccer competitions, athletics, Tug of war, Bend ball, net ball and ‘jama’ competition after which emerging winners wil take home trophies and special gifts from Happy FM. According to Mr. Osei Asibey, ‘the coming together of politicians and pastors as two different teams to open and partake in the keep fit festival is to make Ghanaians realize the harmonious relationships that exist among politicians as well as pastors, and their readiness to promote peace and stability and oneness towards the elections in December.
