Budding Ghanaian comedian, Foster Owusu Amponsah, professionally known as Foster Romanus has shed light on his decision to keep his marriage away from the public eye, citing concerns about potential disrespect towards his wife.

In a candid revelation on actor, Eddie Nartey’s Podcast, Romanus explained that the entertainment industry often exposes public figures to intrusive scrutiny and that he wanted to shield his wife from any undue disrespect that might arise from their public association.

By opting for a private ceremony, the renowned comedian aimed to safeguard his wife’s well-being and preserve the intimacy of their relationship away from public scrutiny.

“Because of the attention that it comes with, and then I’ve seen a couple of weddings where people tend to disrespect your choice. The person you think is best for you then that person thinks what is wrong with you? Why this choice? I didn’t want my wife to go through that,” he said.

The comedian’s decision reflects a thoughtful approach to the challenges of fame, where the spotlight can sometimes overshadow the boundaries between public and private spheres.
