Whereas some of her colleague actors in the industry have shot over a hundred movies and counting, award-winning actress, Ama K. Abebrese has revealed that she has shot only 13 movies total in her 22 years of acting.

According to her, she believes quality surpasses quantity.

Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty of Hitz Fm on Monday, April 01, 2019, Ama K revealed that out of the 13 movies, just one was a Nollywood production.

“My whole acting career, I’ve only done 13 films. For me, I’ve always said it’s not about quantity but quality. Some people think I’ve done so many films but my whole acting career I’ve done 13 films. Almost all the filming was done in Ghana. It’s only one that was shot in Nigeria.”

Ama K. Abebrese added that quality doesn’t necessarily mean a huge budget, citing her film The Burial of Kojo as an example.

Ama K Abebrese has been in the film/TV industry for a period spanning 22 years. She is known for her roles in movies such as “The Burial of Kojo”, “Beasts of No Nation”, “Ties that Bind”, Azali” and others.
