American singer, R Kelly, has been banned from a Denmark based radio network following the sexual assault allegations against him.

Kelly’s alleged history of sexual, physical, and mental abuse of young women and underage girls including surrounding himself with sex slaves were last month detailed in the docuseries ‘Surviving R Kelly’

Bauer Media, which runs The Voice, NOVA, Radio 100, Pop FM, Radio Soft and MyRock in Denmark, reaching around 2.7million listeners each week in a country of 5.8million released a statement which says they have barred Kelly after the ‘very serious’ claims.

‘As a radio we have a responsibility on who we give the airtime to,’ said Bauer Media official Tobias Nielsen. ‘It’s very serious and we feel we can’t have him on the playlists.’

This comes a day after R.Kelly announced that he will be on tour to perform in Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. He is also scheduled to perform in Germany in April.
