Raffeal Teams with Dabz on New Afro-Dancehall Single, “Bounce”

Nigerian-American singer Raffeal has just released a new Afro dancehall single, Bounce, Featuring ‘Dabz.
Bounce is necessarily a shallow single that could easily be a club banger. On Bounce, both singers seem to be as light-headed as can be, and are just in the reverie of the moment.
LISTEN:
Bounce is significantly Raffeal’s exposure to the club scene, on which he rides the afrobeats wav. Seemingly, the singer is quite aware that a partnership with Dabz on this record would amount to something ready made for loose club goers.
Raffeal who got his early exposure to music through the church scene holds nothing back in Bounce. His rough and tough upbringing overshadows his religious side, as has been the case since he started expressing his own independent thoughts and experiences through music.

Dozzybeat Shows Musical Dexterity in New Single, “Long Distance”

Canada-based Nigerian singer, songwriter and music producer Dozzybeat in his new single, Long Distance featuring ”Ugo” portrays an impeccable awareness of his own musical dexterity as an artist as he takes listeners on a rollercoaster of emotions by switching between vocalizing harmonies and asserting spoken words with rap.
“Long Distance,” as the title suggests, is a song about keeping in touch with a loved one, virtually, from unattainable distances.
In this story vividly portrayed through the confines of its lyrical context, the artist engages his lover in a conversation about how compromises are needed for their specific type of relationship to work.
The singer ultimately concludes that he is ready to do anything for this companionship to work.
LISTEN:
Long distance is a fine blend of rap and harmonious afrobeats, sounds blended
together with interesting lyrics and a voice that understands each part of its
delivery.
It is a song for those who linger in the state of longing for a loved one who’s miles apart.

Smallgod’s Second Single ‘Falling’ Explore The Allure Of Forbidden Love

After a groundbreaking debut project Building Bridges which saw millions of streams and appeared on Spotify’s most-streamed Ghanaian albums list, Smallgod is far from ready to stop.
Following up on the success of Holy 4k, the drill anthem which is still heating up the streets, Smallgod is ready to ride the charts with Falling.
Serving as the second single to his highly anticipated sophomore project Connecting the Dots, Falling sees Smallgod diving into his Rolodex to connect KiDi and Darkoo in another massive Ghana/UK superstar collaboration.
Falling is a wonderful blend of Afrobeats rhythms and Caribbean drums. KiDi handles hook duties and the first verse sets the stage for an enjoyable ride with his silky tone. He belts his heart out to an unknown love interest who we find out on the hook, belongs to another man. You can feel the hopeless nature of his love on the hook when he sings “obi ne girl, I’m falling. Somebody’s woman, I’m falling.”
A classic case of the forbidden fruit, he knows he’s wrong but he can’t stop himself. Darkoo compliments KiDi’s emotions beautifully with her own dominant energy showing that she is ready to follow her heart with no regrets. The chemistry of the two artists on Falling is once again a testament to Smallgod’s incredible A&R skills.
Falling was produced by DJ Breezy, the superstar Ghanaian producer known for his work on many pivotal afrobeats records. If Falling and its predecessor are anything to go by, Smallgod is readying us for a classic project with his sophomore
Connecting the dots which is set to drop towards the end of April.
Falling is now available to stream on all digital music platforms here: https://ffm.to/smallgod-falling

Tiana Major9 Releases New Single and Video “Try Peace”

Maintaining incredible momentum this year, GRAMMY® Award-nominated
Over a slow drip of bass, guitar, finger snaps, and sparse beats, her angelic voice touches the soul. It climaxes on an emotionally charged chorus as she ponders, “Maybe I should try peace,” flexing her range in the process. In the accompanying visual, she pulls up in a red vintage convertible in a slick red fit. The intimate close-ups capture the anxiety in the lyrics as she sings directly to the camera making the connection.
She continues to cruise following the fiery “2 Seater” [feat. Smino]. In addition to piling up hundreds of thousands of streams, The FADER hailed it as “a tender, playful song about love,” while UPROXX dubbed it “a romantic effort that presents a couple who nurtures their relationship through their love for music and relaxing drives with the top down.” In addition to plugs from REVOLT, The Line of Best Fit, and more, Rated R&B noted, “Tiana Major9 has found a secret, intimate place to speak comfortably to her muse on what she’s producing next in his honor. The hideaway is a ‘2 Seater’.” With hundreds of millions of streams combined and widespread acclaim, she’s primed for a massive 2022.
She’s also participating in The Motown Records Creator Program Supported by Google, which empowers women of color in the music industry. As reported by Billboard, it will find and support “the next outstanding woman content creator, videographer, or creative producer/director” with the chance to collaborate with Motown executives and artists and tell the story of the label’s women, including Tiana Major 9, of course.
Right now, Tiana Major9 is supporting Jazmine Sullivan on the Heaux Tales Tour. Following the first three dates, the six-week jaunt visits major markets coast-to-coast and concludes on March 30 at House of Blues Chicago in Chicago, IL. Expect a showstopping and stunning set from Tiana Major9—who Sullivan personally handpicked as the evening’s sole opener.
Check out the full confirmed itinerary below. Tickets are available HERE.
It sets the stage for the arrival of Fool Me Once. The project illuminates every side of her signature style from moments of sassy soul to bold and empowered hip-hop.
Tiana Major9 has already affected the culture with her own hypnotic hybrid of R&B, jazz, soul, and rap.
