Samini to perform at Anansekrom, July 16

Ghanaian culture will be in the spotlight this month when the Noble friends host the fifth annual Anansekrom at the Morden Hall Park on July 16. Anansekrom is the Premier African Cultural Extravaganza and by far one of the largest family oriented events focused on the Ghanaian and African Culture in the UK. It has over the years proven to be a day filled with Africa’s best in traditional food, a Durbar of Chiefs, Storytelling, African Artifacts, Drumming and many more.

The event provides a social cohesion amongst Africans, especially Ghanaians in the Diaspora. Sponsored by global oil and gas exploration giant – Tullow oil, Anansekrom will be headlined by Multi- award winning singer, Samini. He will be displaying his eclectic mixture of highlife, reggae, hip hop and hiplife at the event. Samini will be performing some of his old songs and current tracks from his new album, ‘CEO’.

Other side attractions will include a fashion show by one of Ghana’s biggest brands in the UK, ‘Mefiri Ghana’ and special performances by Ablade Cultural Troupe, Mighty Zulu Nation and also the London Gospel Community Choir.

Ghana Entertainment Awards USA is thrilled to announce the nominees for its highly anticipated 5th annual award show. This exciting event recognizes and honors the remarkable achievements of hardworking entertainers from Ghana, Africa, and the Diaspora. The ceremony will take place on July 1st at the Merkin Hall, Kauffman Music Center, in the heart of New York City.

The nomination period, which commenced on March 23rd, generated an overwhelming response from the entertainment industry, with outstanding talents vying for recognition across 40 diverse categories. The nomination window closed on May 15th, allowing ample time for the esteemed 2023 Board to meticulously deliberate and determine the finalists.

This year’s Ghana Entertainment Awards USA promises to be a spectacular celebration of Ghanaian talent, culture, and creativity. The event brings together artists, actors, musicians, DJs, producers, fashion designers, and many other influential figures from the entertainment industry. Showcasing the dynamism and vibrancy of Ghana’s entertainment scene, the award ceremony serves as a platform to appreciate and elevate the immense contributions of these individuals and groups.

To ensure transparency and fairness, the winners of each category will be determined through a public voting system. Voting officially commences today, allowing fans and supporters to make their voices heard and participate in this thrilling celebration of Ghanaian entertainment.
