Global Afrobeats star, investor and entrepreneur Mr Eazi has revealed how award-winning Ghanaian artistes Sarkodie and Mugeez saved his career way back in the university.

According to Mr. Eazi, during his early days as an event organizer in the university, he got the chance to book artistes for an award show he had organized but unfortunately some artistes couldn’t attend due to monetary issues.

“People caught me and that was where upcoming artists in my school then started being my friend so that I can book them and obviously making money and we lost more money than we made throwing parties but we kept on doing it, we loved it, to have projects and see it come together, so we began to switch to award shows and I had the first social awards of my university and that was when I booked Sarkodie, R2Bees and Wande Coal, as a student then and I remember Wande Coal didn’t appear on the show and people thought I had run away with their money and I didn’t know that he didn’t receive his full money,” Mr Eazi recounted.

“I remember begging Sarkodie, his was like $2,500.00 begging him that please even though I hadn’t paid him completely, he came on stage, he saved me by coming on stage and that is why till tomorrow, R2Bees, Mugeez is more than a friend a brother, he came, jumped on stage and killed it.
