Sarkodie nominated for 2012 MOBO Awards Best African Act alongside Dbanj, P-Square and others



Ghana’s award winning rapper, Sarkodie has been nominated for Best African Act in the 17th edition of the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards slated for Saturday, 3rd November at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.  He is nominated alongside some of Africa’s finest artistes such as Amadou & Mariam , Cabo Snoop ,Camp Mulla, D’Banj , Fally Ipupa, Fatoumata Diawara, P-Square , Spoek Mathambo and The Very Best. The nominees for the awards were announced on Monday with Plan B and Emeli Sande leading the pack with five nods each. MOBO founder Kanya King MBE, said of this year’s bash: “We are very excited about the nominations for the 17th MOBO Awards. “The talent this year has been truly exceptional and we are so proud to be flying the flag for urban music which has again been dominating the charts in the past MOBO Music year.
