Sarkodie should be apologetic and remorseful; I still haven’t forgiven him – Samini

Multiple award-winning Reggae/Dancehall artiste, Samini has reiterated the reason behind the damaged relationship between him and his colleague, Sarkodie.

In a new interview on the “Day Show” with Bella Mundi, the “Linda” hitmaker stated that he hasn’t moved past the issue because Sarkodie has not apologised and asked for his forgiveness

Explaining the genesis of the issue to Berla, Samini clarified that there’s no underlying reason for his “beef” with the rapper.

“This is all coming from how he thinks that he’s got the sharpest mind. Tell me one track from him alone without a feature that was a big? Doesn’t he just go round using everybody as he can,” he stated.

“Is that what he does?” Berla Mundi asked to which he responded saying;

“That’s what he came to do with me, so I can confirm that’s what he does. You sent me a song, “Love Rocks” I took 24 hrs to do the verse and send it to you and even that made him do his third verse on the song because he realise say the way batman do the song he for do.

“So, that energy I showed him, I expected it to be reciprocal if I ever needed anything from him because truly, it’s for the excitement of the fans I don’t need you Sark to make me relevant in the space, I don’t, neither do you need me. Collaborations make our fans excited and it makes the game nice.

“How is it okay for you this small boy to receive my song and ask me questions and after that, dip and give me blue ticks till I release my project till years down the line till I actually get to speak about it casually online for you to do it down like nothing happened,” he explained.

Berla Mundi after listening to his explanation asked if he is willing to move on and forgive Sarkodie.

Berla: So, you clearly haven’t moved on from that?

Samini: No

Berla: Have you forgiven him?

Samini: No, has he asked for forgiveness?

He continued; If he does, of course. If a man is remorseful and asks for forgiveness, you’re cool. but if a man rubbishes your feelings, how are you going to be cool? That kind of forgiveness, it’s “I live you to your God” type of forgiveness. That type of forgiveness I don’t do.
