‘Stars of the Future’ season 5 continues this week with the next live performance show scheduled for the National Theatre,   Good Friday. Dedicated to gospel music, the Friday night show will certainly have patrons screaming Hallelujah as the remaining contestants take turns to sing songs from stars like Kwaku Gyasi, Cecelia Marfo, Cindy Thompson and others.

The vibrant Patch Bay Band, the backing force behind the weekly performances will also be in the house to continue the thrills from where they left it last week.  Last week, Kaki was phenomenal performing ‘Beautiful Nightmare’ by Boyonce. She has remained consistent throughout the competition has become spectacle to watch. Abby took up the challenge of performing ‘Time after Time’ originally sung by Cyndi Lauper. She made an impressive showing with a song that many established musicians wouldn’t attempt to perform.  Another impressive performer on the night was Daniela who did ‘Rude Boy’ by Rihanna.  The 19 year old produced a great delivery with her he flawless dance moves, much to the appreciation of the audience.

The performances continues on Friday and patrons are encouraged to come to the National Theatre in their numbers to support their favorite contestants, and also vote for their favourites by texting contestant’s name to MTN short code 1750.  The live performance show will be telecast this Sunday at 1:30PM on GTV and 3PM on e.TV. There is a repeat show at Mondays, 12.30PM on GTV.
