<![CDATA[On Saturday, December 22nd, 54 Kingdoms in collaboration with Applause Africa will launch Storytellers in Fashion; an initiative developed by 54 Kingdoms to emphasize its motto, “It’s a Kulture, not a Brand’. Storytellers in Fashion is an annual event aimed to bring to light, the creation experience and inspiration behind each 54 Kingdoms collection(s) launched that particular year. Each session involves an oral and visual presentation to fans, followers and supporters of 54 Kingdoms. It also brings other Pan-African creatives on stage to share/showcase their stories and talent. The inaugural Storytellers in Fashion will focus on the recently launched Kingdom Come collection by 54 Kingdoms with special performances from Rafiya – recently named African Woman Singer to watch for by AfriPop Magazine, BraveBoi Music Group (BBMG) – a sizzling afro-soulful band from Brooklyn, and Nathan ‘Nana’ Wise – young dynamic poet from Worcester, Massachusetts. In addition, the event will raise funds via donations to support the first-ever Ghana Youth Awards; an initiative of Africa Youth Network (AYONET), 54 Kingdoms LLC, and other civil youth groups in Ghana. The Ghana Youth Awards is scheduled for March 2, 2013 at the National Theater in Accra, Ghana. Date/Time: Saturday, December 22, 2012 4:00pm – 8:00pm Venue: The Shrine Harlem 2271 Adam Clayton Powell Junior Boulevard New York, NY 10030 Hostess: Ms. Divine Muragijimana – Editor in chief, Applause Africa Admission: FREE by RSVP: events@54kingdoms.com]]>
