Referencing the song in an interview with media outlet Rated R&B last year, Bongo shared: “That record, to me, is the definition of less is more. I didn’t even attempt to put drums on the song because it was so good. I didn’t want to overproduce. I didn’t want anything to take away from what they were saying.”

Last month, Bongo contributed to three tracks for Mary J. Blige for her 14th studio project Good Morning Gorgeous with “No Idea,” “Love Will Never,” & “Here For It” featuring Anderson .Paak..
