Tears, joy, and pride at the Dreams College of Creative Arts 2023 convocation

Dreams College of Creative Arts held its annual convocation on Thursday, October 26, 2023.

The august event took place at the Annietta Gardens inside Abelemkpe in Accra.

This year’s event was an exceptional one because the school conferred certificates to 42 new designers at the convocation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mrs. Susan Mantey, the Honcho of the academy said;

“Within a short time in the fashion education space, DCCA has made great strides in advocating for high-quality international higher education, and we are thrilled to announce that we have received accreditation to offer NVTI Proficiency 2, produce Diploma graduands who are making strides in the fashion industry, opened a branch for our Regular school and Advanced School in Nigeria, recorded tremendous growth in our Advanced school enrollment ,  increased in our intake of international students and many more

She also announced the “unveiling of our Dreams Scholarship Program 2024. A Senior High School graduate between 16-25 years with passion for fashion, who demonstrates creativity can apply for this Fashion Design Diploma Scholarship worth 25,000 Ghana Cedis.”

As part of their corporate social responsibility, DCCA also announced their foundation, “Dreams School of Craft” at the ceremony. The goal of the foundation is to empower less privileged young girls aged 16 to 25 who live within Winneba and its environs, with employable skills in garment surface ornamentation. The foundation would also offer full-time employment to these young girls after successfully completing the training program.
