This will be his second attempt at contesting the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary seat under the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)

In the 2020 general elections in Ghana, popular actor and entrepreneur ran a very successful and impactful campaign towards securing the Ayawaso West Wuogon Parliamentary seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The seat was then occupied by Hon. Lydia Alhassan, who faced John Dumelo in a heated competition leading up to the election.
