#VGMA20: Full list of winners at 20th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

The biggest names in Ghanaian and African music gathered at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) for the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. This year’s event was definitely one for the history books.

From the glitz and glamour on the red carpet to wonderful performances to the unexpected chaos that brought the program to a halt which had celebrities and attendees running for safety.

The night saw several artists and producers receive honors for their work over the past year. However, two of the keenly contested categories, the ‘Artiste of the Year’ and the ‘Artiste of the Decade’ were withheld by the organizers to later be announced at a press conference.

Hiplife/Hip hop artiste of the year: Medikal

Reggae/ Dancehall Artiste of the year: Stonebwoy

Video of the year: Mzvee(Come And See My Mother)

Collaboration of the year: Stonebwoy Kpoo Keke

Record of the year: Akwaboah -Hy3 me bo

Song Writer of the year: King Promise -CCTV

Music producer of the year: Kuami Eugene

Sound engineer of the year: Francis Osei(Hy3 Me Bor)

Best Male Vocalist: Kidi (Thunder)

Best Female Vocalist Of The Year: Efya (Hold You Down)

African Artiste Of The Year: Burna Boy

Rapper of the year: Medikal

Best African Collaboration: Guilty Beatz ft Mr. Eazi, Pappy Kojo (Akwaaba)

Group of the year: Bethel Revival Choir

Best New Artiste Of The Year: Wendy Shay

Album of the year: Kuami Eugene (Rockstar)

Instrumentalist: Mizter Okyere

Lifetime achievement: Dr. Mrs. Mary Ghansa, J.A. Adofo, Professor Kofi Abraham
