The past week was certainly an interesting one for me. While I battled with my server  to stabilize the site so you could enjoy the usual posts, I received some misplaced  flack on twitter earlier in the week and then on Saturday for two separate incidents. The first incident was about an article I culled from peacefmonline for my general news portal nowghana.com.  The story was about Elikem Kumordzi making an appearance in court regarding the Odartey Lamptey and wife scandal. Elikem denied the report on twitter saying he was never in court. His fans then started attacking me and calling me a hater for wanting to pull Elikem down with my false story. Really? The second case had to to with the tragic death of Komla Dumor. After a nap on Saturday, I got on twitter to realize that 100s of people had asked me if it was true that the BBC presenter had passed. So I did some search online and noticed that Jefferson Sackey had posted on Facebook that Komla was gone. So I immediately called him and even before I could ask him he greeted with the sad news and confirmed Komla’s death.  He then added that they were going to go on air in some few minutes to break the news. So I did a post to say that Jefferson had confirmed the death of Komla, and that readers can tune in to Joy FM for more details. I later unpublished the story and soon the insults started to come in from all angels on twitter. Check out this vlog to see why I killed the link and my reaction to all the backlash.
