Vodafone Icons: Mixed Edition starts Sunday, February 26
After exciting auditions in Tamale, Takoradi, Kumasi and Accra, the second season of Vodafone’s reality TV show ‘Icons’ is set to start airing on Ghanaian television from Sunday, February 26. This year’s show, the ‘Vodafone Icons: Mixed Edition’ seeks to discover a mixed group of both males and females unlike the previous ‘Divas Edition’ that was solely for the ‘girls’. It promises to deliver even greater excitement, as both males and females search for stardom. Who will make it past the audition stages, who will get into the top 24 and who will form the 8 groups of 3 to compete for the amazing prize packages and opportunities ahead? Benny Blanco returns as host for the second season and also returning as the only surviving judge from season one, is chart topping gospel singer, Gena West. Gena will be joined by the outspoken and funny Miss Naa of Ryse and Shyne fame on Y FM, and popular producer and sound engineer Apietus. Selected contestants will attend Icons boot camp, where they will be coached by the judges, vocal coaches and other professional choreographers.
