Vodafone Icons returns with 'Street Edition', Auditions Kick off in Koforidua and Kumasi from May 31
The third edition of the popular Vodafone ICONS reality show, dubbed Street Edition, has officially kicked off, and at stake is a whopping GH¢250,000 worth of prizes for the winner. Some of the interesting features of the Street Edition, , include the Pop-Up Auditions where Ghanaians across various cities will get the chance to walk into an open audition booth to showcase their singing talent. There will be an ICONS bus tour throughout the country for the Pop-Up Auditions. Meanwhile, would be contestants can also apply through online auditions. Auditions can also be submitted online via YouTube video auditions also. Auditions for this year’s reality show starts Saturday, June 1 and organizers hope to crown a winner by August 2013. Auditions kick off this weekend as follows:
31st May Koforidua
· 1st June Kumasi
· 2nd June Central region
· 8th June Accra
· 10th June Tamale
Returning as judges are Miss Naa, Gina West and Appietus .Uche Ofodile, Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone Ghana revealed that, “we are going to choose from each region a judge to join them on the panel to give them a view of the streets.” Apart from those judges, the general public will have the opportunity to also express their views on the various performances by the contestants. The GH¢250,000 total package for this year includes a cash prize, a recording contract with Universal Records, the biggest record label in the world, Uche disclosed. The winner will also enjoy a management contract, a KIA Sportage and other mouth-watering prizes. ]]>Buzz
