172 students graduate from The Joyce Ababio College of Creative Design

The Joyce Ababio College of Creative Design (JACCD) on Saturday, September 7 held the 23rd Graduation Ceremony for its 2019 graduating class.

The ceremony saw 172 students graduating from the various courses offered.  161 students also showcased their creations on the graduation night as follows:  Advanced Certificate – 8 students, Vlisco Competition – 15 students; and Certificate – 138 students.

Special Award winners on the night included Vlisco Competition winner, Robin Corley and Most Outstanding Student Boye-Doe David.

The Joyce Ababio College of Creative Design (JACCD) has been in existence for 25 years.  It started as Vogue Style School of Fashion and Design and then became a college in 2012; hence the name Joyce Ababio College of Creative Design

Courses offered at JACCD include: Certificate in Graphic Design – A one-year program in Graphic Design; Certificate in Fashion Design – A one-year program in Fashion Design; Advanced Certificate in Fashion Design – A one and half year program in Fashion Design; Short courses in Cosmetology, Fashion Design, Jewellery Design, Cake Baking.

Abena Nyantakyiwaa Chrappah – Marketing & Communications Manager, Joyce Ababio College of Creative Design reiterated the mission and vision of the college, “Our mission is to provide world class education in the creative industry and nurture the next generation of creative minds. We are positioning ourselves to be the leader in creative education in Africa and re-orient mindsets about careers in the creative industry.”
