Watch: Ghanaian filmmaker Anthony Nti talks short film ‘Da Yie’ and earning international recognition

Ghanaian filmmaker Anthony Nti spoke about his award-winning short film ‘Da Yie’ during an interview with Ameyaw Debrah.
The young film producer opened up about how the short film which was his graduation project earned him international accolades.
“It was my graduation film, but because we produced it ourselves it took a while to finish the film even though we shot it back in 2017, it took a while to finish it. so I graduated in 2019 and the film was released in 2020”
On being selected among the finalist for the BAFTA Los Angeles Student Film Awards Anthony explained that the film had won some local awards which made it eligible
Da Yie was produced by Anthony Nti, Chingiz Karibekov and Dimitri Verbeek, and distributed worldwide by the International Production & Distribution company Salaud Morisset
In 2020, it won the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and qualified for consideration for the 2021 Academy Awards.
